Bobbi Brown is a well known makeup artist for top fashion magazines, movie stars and other famous personalities.

She earned a degree in theatrical makeup from Emerson College, Boston Ma. Following her graduation, Bobbi moved to New York City to pursue a career as a professional makeup artist. Her first big break came when she did Naomi Campbells makeup for a Vogue cover shoot.

As her career evolved, Bobbi wanted a makeup product that wasn't artificial looking and that would give women a natural beauty look.

In 1991 teaming up with a chemist, she created her first lipstick, Brown Lip Color plus nine other brown based shades. Those lipsticks were a success and sent Bobbi on her way to create industry changing foundations that were yellow based, not the pink based foundations that were on the market. She made a name for herself and was noticed by Estee Lauder, Although Bobbi still has creative control of the brand, she sold the company to Estee Lauder in 1995.
